Your Neighbors Are Saving With Solar. Why Aren’t You?
Going Solar Is Easy & Affordable
Your electricity bills are too high…and electricity is getting more expensive. But you’re at the mercy of your utility company and rates aren’t going down. What’s worse is that energy made by utilities comes at a high cost – our planet and our health.

How Solar Works
Although they may look complicated, solar panels have no moving parts and require very little maintenance, other than occasional cleaning. An inverter takes the DC power directly from the solar panels and converts it to the same AC power that your home uses. There is no need to change your appliances. Solar + battery storage is a great combination but batteries are optional. Nothing in your home will have to change.
30% Federal Tax Credit
The investment tax credit (ITC), also known as the federal solar tax credit, allows you to deduct 30 percent of the cost of installing a solar energy system from your federal taxes. The rate was increased to 30% in 2022 and will be in place through 2032.
Expenses included in the credit include:
- Solar PV panels or PV cells (including those used to power an attic fan, but not the fan itself)
- Contractor labor costs for onsite preparation, assembly, or original installation, including permitting fees, inspection costs, and developer fees
- Balance-of-system equipment, including wiring, inverters, and mounting equipment
- Energy storage devices that have a capacity rating of 3 kilowatt-hours (kWh) or greater (for systems installed after December 31, 2022).
- Sales taxes on eligible expenses
As a Texas homeowner, you know that property tax exemptions can be a pretty big deal. So you’ll be happy to hear The Lone Star State offers a solid property tax exemption for home solar system owners. Meaning, the resulting boost in your home value from installing a system — which could increase by 4% or more — will be exempt 100% from your property tax increase.

Show Off Your Sustainable Side
The sun is the most abundant source of energy available. In fact, the sun produces more energy in an hour than humanity uses in an entire year! Reducing our carbon footprint is critical to ensuring our planet can provide a safe environment for generations to come. More new solar energy generating systems have been added to the grid than the worst carbon emitting power plants every year for several years, and this trend is expected to grow!
